Overview of Armstrong's third-generation tire lineup
The brand Armstrong has a long and complex history, which began in the USA in the early 20th century, and at one time was owned by Pirelli, and is now owned by the Dubai trading company Zafco. The brand is represented, among other things, on the Russian market, and not so long ago, tires were presented Armstrong third generation for passenger cars, crossovers and SUVs.
The updated line includes the following tires, all of which have received a special marking indicating that they have been improved taking into account the features of electric vehicles (tires of the previous generation did not have EV marking):
Armstrong Blu-Trac PC3. Summer model for the mass market, featuring a symmetrical tread pattern that improves the even distribution of loads in the contact area with the road, which improves the reliability of traction, prevents uneven wear and increases the lifespan of the tires.

The contact patch has been optimized to reduce noise and improve ride smoothness, which, according to the company, makes the tires an ideal choice for everyday use.

The tread pattern includes wide longitudinal channels and transverse grooves, the arrangement of which was designed both for rapid water dispersion and reduction of aquaplaning, as well as for providing stable traction on dry roads.

To provide additional grip on wet surfaces, lamellas are placed in the tread blocks, and their arrangement has also been optimized to reduce vibrations and improve acoustic comfort.

The tires are produced in 36 sizes from 175/65 R14 to 235/60 R18. According to the Euro marking system, the tires received ratings of B/C for economy, as well as A/B for traction on wet surfaces and noise.

Armstrong Blu-Trac HP3. UHP-class tires with an asymmetrical tread pattern designed to provide both high traction in rainy weather and stable handling on dry asphalt.

The tread features straight and curved lamellas that create multiple gripping edges and reduce braking distance on wet surfaces, which directly affects the level of safety.

Four wide and deep grooves are capable, according to the manufacturer, of quickly draining large amounts of water, increasing the tires' resistance to aquaplaning.

In the central zone, there are three wide ribs that speed up the response to steering wheel turns and stabilize the contact with the road, which is especially important at high speeds, as well as reduce the noise level.

The lineup includes 54 sizes from 205/50 R15 to 275/35 R20. Ratings: C-A/B-B.

Amstrong Blu-Trac SU3. Tires with a similar tread pattern, but designed for owners of crossovers and SUVs and therefore having a reinforced design that increases the load capacity.

The tires are available in 27 sizes from 235/65 R17 to 305/35 R24. Ratings: B/C-A/B-B.
Armstrong Tru-Trac HT III. Highway-Terrain class model with a symmetrical non-directional tread pattern, which should provide even wear and extend the life of the tires.

The tread blocks feature numerous lamellas arranged at different angles, creating independent gripping edges and increasing the level of safety. According to the manufacturer, the lamellas are arranged in such a way that they enhance traction without compromising ride comfort and stability when driving on paved surfaces at high speeds.

The four wide channels - two with straight and two with wavy walls - are responsible for draining water from the contact patch, reducing the risk of aquaplaning and stabilizing traction in the rain.

Since the tires are designed for SUVs with increased mass, they are equipped with reinforced sidewalls, which improve directional stability, including at high speeds, and make the tires more reliable and durable.

Nine sizes are offered, from 215/70 R16 to 265/70 R17. Ratings: C-A/B-B.

In the near future, another third-generation tire will be released, namely the summer Armstrong Tru-Trac Van3 for commercial vehicles, which will be available in 24 sizes from 175/70 R14C to 225/55 R17C. In addition, the winter lineup will be expanded with new models, including Ski-Trac SU for crossovers/SUVs and Ski-Trac Van for light trucks.
